Increasing transmit power just exacerbates the problem as you extending the distance at which the client receives beacons from the AP.
In most well-designed wireless networks of a sufficient density, the maximum transmit you want to allow on the 5 GHz band is 18 dBm.
AOS 8.6 is EOS, highly recommend you look at upgrading to at least 8.10.

ClientMatch is the feature that assists in this behavior and is enabled by default. Tuning the RF transmit power and minimum rates can help, but setting those values incorrectly can also have a detrimental impact on your network performance.
What version of AOS are you running?

How do i configure in the Aruba Central to prevent my clients from "sticking" to one particular AP ?
We want to ensure that when clients moved around, they will connect to the nearest available AP and not connect to the 1st one
