To be able to do this you must have multiple licenses, you can't split a single license.
The license is bound to the serial number of the controller and to rebound it to another serial number you can either do it from the licensing pages in the Networking Support Portal https://networkingsupport.hpe.com/ or open a ticket with TAC.
In Network Support Portal click the Licenses drop down menu in the to right corner, and select Transfer.

Follow the guided steps to transfer the license to another serial number. Both the old serial number and the license must be registered in the support portal. The new serial number is entered manually.
