Harold: Thank you for confirming the same.
Harold: John, to resolve your issue you need to send your notebook to HP for repair
John Hoang: Oh, okay.
John Hoang: Is there a location near Las Vegas?
Harold: The cost for the mailin repair is $298
Harold: If you wish I can take request for the same from this chat session
John Hoang: The repair isn't covered under warranty?
Harold: In our records your notebook warraty says it is expired
Harold: Here are the warranty details
Harold: Start date : 15 Nov, 2006
End date : 19 Mar, 2007
John Hoang: I see.
John Hoang: Do I have any other options besides the mail in repair of $298?
Harold: As we have performed with all the troubele shooting steps, you have to send the notebook for repair
Harold: If you wish, I can take request for the same from this chat session
John Hoang: So pretty much I'm gonna pay $298 for a new motherboard, right?
Harold: John, that is for the service setup and a warranty for 90 days for yoru notebook and if anything happens after the notebook is send for repair then it 90 days the repair wil be done free of cost
John Hoang: That's great and all. But from my view point, it's $298 to fix a wireless adapter.
Harold: Yes, you are right
John Hoang: That's a little more than I'd pay to fix a wireless adapter. So I'll just let it be and remember not to buy HP again.
John Hoang: Thanks for your time.
