  • 1.  WMM Share Percentage

    I am trying to configure qos for teams.  I am using all instant AP's managed by aruba central.  I have added the appropriate dscp values for voice and video, but I have some questions about the share percentage.

    • Do I have to enter a shared percentage value since I have defined the dscp values?
    • Does it all have to equal 100?
    • If I set 15 for background and best effort, then 30 for video and 40 for voice, does that apply all the time?  Or just when congested?
    • Are there any recommended values?

    You do not need to set percentages.  You should also follow Microsoft's instructions for settings QOS for Microsoft Teams clients in the Client to the AP direction.

    Configuring QOS on wifi only sets priority from the AP to clients.

    There were other questions in Robert´s post :

    It would apply all of the time.

    Recommended to NOT set those values.
