Windows Update for Windows XP Pro wants to update drivers for the Broadcom Wireless LAN (WLAN) 802.11b/g adapter in the Pavilion zd7000. Don't do it if you use any Cisco Secure VPN Client on your z7000, as it will break the VPN from being able to use the wireless adapter. Note that the latest Broadcom drivers suite supported by HP is 4.00C, which includes Broadcom driver 3.100.65.1, dated 4/21/2005. Windows update, however, wants you to install driver version 4.x whixh is unsupported by HP on the zd7000. Downloading any Broadcom WLAN driver verson 4.x will break Cisco Secure VPN Client from being able to use the wireless adapter. If you have already upgraded, roll back to Broadcom driver 3.100.65.1, dated 4/21/2005.
