SNMP Traps

Silver Peak Edge Connect appliances support Management Information Base (MIB) II as described int RFC 1213 for monitoring of your Edge Connect appliances.  Below are FAQ regarding SNMP traps. You can also download the Silver Peak MIB from https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/sdwan/mibs/

When are SNMP traps sent to a receivers?
SNMP traps are sent to configured receiver every time an alarm is raised or cleared, when loading a new image, recovering from a crash, or rebooting.

How many SNMP trap receivers can you configure:
Up to 3 trap receivers can be configured.

What SNMP versions are supported?
We v1 , v2c and v3. 

What do SNMP traps contain?
Traps contain information about the alarm, including severity, sequence number, a text-based description of the alarm, and the time the alarm was created.
