Controller Based WLANs

Environment : This article applies to all the Aruba controllers and AOS version 6.3.

Controllers that supports AOS version 6.3:

1. 3200XM
2. 3400
3. 3600
4. M3
5. 600 series
6. 7200 series

NOTE: Any new controller released after 7200 series controllers will also be supported on AOS 6.3

Controllers that do not support AOS version 6.3:

1. 200
2. 800
3. 2400
4. SC 1 and SC 2

Also, starting from AOS version 6.2,  Aruba controller model 651 will lose its internal AP capability. A 651 controller will appear as 650-1 and the 651-8 will appear as 650-9 while booting up. What this means is any 651 controller that was shipped with zero in-built license will now support 1 AP and any 651 controller that had 8 in-built licenses would support 9 APs without explicitly adding any licenses. 

The same is true when a 651 controller is upgraded from a pre 6.2 code to version 6.3 directly.
