    I have small customer with 200 users, need to deploy clearpass on VM and perpetual Licenses, and he needs all clearpass features, could you please advise how to quote clear pass and what should added in BOM?

    For sizing/scaling, you could refer to the ClearPass scaling and ordering guide; but it may be better to have it done and/or checked by your HPE Aruba Networking partner or distributor.

    As mentioned by Herman the ClearPass scaling and ordering guide will provide the needed information.

    Things to consider is beside the 200 users are:

    • How many devices does each user have?
    • How many will be connected to the network concurrently?
    • Will all users have Onguard on all devices?
    • Will all users have Onboard?
    • Should there be any redundant ClearPass servers?
    • Support on all servers and licenses

    Access licenses are counted per concurrent network connections. 200 users with 2 devices each will consume 400 licenses.

    Onboard licenses are counted based on deployed users, regardless of number of devices for each user

    Onguard licenses are based on deployed devices

    Iris may be a good tool to create the BoM, but I think you need to be an HPE Aruba partner to utilize it.

    Get a tool called Intangi IRIS.

    BOM can look something like this:

    2 x 100 Access Licenses
    2 x 100 OnBoard Licenses
    2 x 100 OnGuard licenses
    2 x VMs (for redundancy)
