I have got switch 3com 4200g.


It has been set up by other user. I don't know it's passwod or IP. I tried to connect to the switch by hypper terminal, but i did not have any result. I saw only cler screen into the windows of hyper terminal. May be I need to set up my hypper terminal, but I don't know settings. Help me, please.

You can see near the console port the Hyper Terminal settings: 19200, 8, N, 1, N. If weird characters starts to appear, try a different speed (9600). If you don't have the password, reboot the switch and break the boot sequence using CTRL+B, then choose the option to skip file configuration in order to recover the password (read the procedure in the configuration guide).
