  • 1.  AOS-CX Release Notes - Issues

    Posted 14 hours ago

Not sure if its just me or if others are affected? When trying to find release notes on say 10.16.1040 AOS-CS for 6000/6100 Aruba switches I cannot find version history for anything other than 10.14 which is linked to the 10.16 release info. Also, release notes do not include release date. This can be an issue for regulatory documentation. Is this just me looking in the wrong place or another gotcha for Greenlake? Also, if I pick 6000/6100 series I get brought to 4100 or 9300 release notes. None show for my products unless I dig in to compatiblity on download page.

    Example..

    Version history | AOS-CX 9300 Release Notes

    Hi, I agree.

IMHO the whole (AOS-S + AOS-CX + etc.) Release Notes' affair - as I like to call it - became a total mess - yes a mess - starting with the latest behavioural shift from releasing them as PDF (as it was historically true for at least three decades...and it's still true for Comware based products as of today) to releasing them as HTML pages (!).

That's especially true for anyone who (still) really care about them, analyze them and used to store them for (offline) reading.

Not to speak about the recent waves of broken URLs, wrong redirects, etc.

OTOH what we see now, after the "orange is the new green" phase (from HPE to Aruba or HPE Aruba), is that the new "green is the new orange" phase (from HPE Aruba back to HPE) and the loop opened years ago now closed.
