The issue is not new, but only appears when a Microsoft Surface Pro is connected on the network for a few weeks.
I bought a Microsoft Surface pro for my son when he went to college.
While he is at the university we do not ever see the issue.
When he is home we see the issue after 20-30 days or so.
It affects everybody on the network. It looks like an internet issue.
Wired clients are not affected, only WiFi clients are affected.
Rebooting the AP635 access point fixes the issue.
Looks like a memory leak of some sort.

are you using Aruba Central or Airwave for mgmt? this is where we can look at the alerts and logs.
is this issue a recent one was there any changes? also what is the output of "show clients" from the AP that the client is connected to?

Running instant,
No controller. And yes the Microsoft surface pro is using the 5 G band, so is the other devices that see the same performance issue.
That is the Microsoft Surface pro seems to induce the issue, but everybody sees the performance issue. I originally thought the performance issue was NID or router based, but after they were rebooted it was still there. Only rebooting the AP635 fixes the issue.

are you running Instant or controller based AP? if instant are you using Aruba Central for monitoring?
Does Microsoft surface pro mainly connects to 5GHz band ?

Subject: Ap635 performance issue
I have a situation that after many days, the performance of the AP635 drops to about 5Mbps up/down.
eems to be related or triggered by a Microsoft surface pro.
AP635 running version 8.13.1.0_93688
Sometime after 60 days or so, the performance drops from 500Mbps to 5Mbps.
Reboot fixes the issue, it was also in previous 8.12 and earlier.
If the Microsoft surface pro is not on the network, the issue never shows up., That is we can run for years without a reboot.
Seems like the Microsoft surface pro is potentially causing a resource issue which then cripples the performance.
