Hi,
1930 and 1960 are InstantON (SMB product line). You will have better chances in InstantOn forums.
You didn't mention that you also tagged vlan 51 to uplinks. I assume you did.
You should have vlan 53 untagged on ports with timeclock devices.
You can configure DHCP server per network (vlan) on 1960.
Best, Gorazd

Subject: Aruba 1930-1960 vlan setup
We are migrating from an older HP 5406zl switch to the newer 1930 or 1960
- On ports 1-24 I office that use IP phones and computers, most share a single line.
- On ports 25-48 are our equipment copiers etc. There are a few timeclocks scattered.
Here is my scheme
- 50 vlan (default)
- 51 vlan_voice
- 53 Timeclock
- I've set up the vlan /voice vlan and have set the type of phone (Avaya)
- I have tagged port 1-24 with vlan 51 for the phone
- I have tagged the fiber lines that go out to the timeclocks on the site vlan 53
The problem
- The older switch has dhcp and provides addresses for the vlan 51 and vlan 53
- I have a dhcp server for all the computers
- I can NOT figure out how to get the phones to attach to vlan 51 and the timeclocks attach to vlan 53,
- I would expect to assign them by mac address. I have to keep those items on the old switch until
- I figure out how to assign them to the vlan and
- The switch assign them an address.
