I'm trying to setup a SCP server on a 5820X switch.

According to the manual it is possible but when I try to configure it the commands are missing :(

According to the manual the following options are available when configuring the user:

service-type

• all: Specifies Stelnet, SFTP, and SCP.

• scp: Specifies the service type as SCP.

• sftp: Specifies the service type as SFTP.

• stelnet: Specifies the service type of Stelnet.

The switch only gives the following options:

  all      Specify service type to stelnet and sftp
  sftp     Specify service type to sftp
  stelnet  Specify service type to stelnet

Where is the SCP option gone?

Did not test this, this comes from R1805 release notes - new features:

Configuring the service type as SCP for SSH users.

Create an SSH user, and specify the service type
and authentication method for all users, SCP or SFTP users:

ssh user usernameservice-type { all|scp| sftp } authentication-type{ password| {any| password-publickey | publickey} assign {pki-domain pkiname | publickey keyname} work-directory directory-name}

This command also doesn't have the SCP option.

Looks like SCP is not available on this platform.

Currently we are preparing to update to the latest Comware version.

yes, 1211 is pretty old, (the new command is stated in the release notes of the 1805, so update will be required).
