  • 1.  Factory reset Switch HP A7503 JD240B

    Hi,

    i would like to know if there is a way to factory reset an HP switch A7503 JD240

    the slot 0 is an LSQ1SRP2XB0 - JC699A - Salience VI-10GE

    there is a reset button but it goes only in boot menu and i don't have the option of reset.

    Hi @grenzo !

    Connect to the switch using console cable, reboot the switch, enter the Extended Bootrom menu, choose option '<5> Restore to Factory Default Configuration", follow all promps and then reboot again. After the next boot the switch should load the default (empty) config.

    i have only this options :

    BOOT MENU

    1. Download application file to device
    2. Select application file to boot
    3. Display all files in device
    4. Delete file from device
    5. Modify bootrom password
    0. Reboot

    Hmm, it looks like a Basic Boot Menu (bootrom) not the Extended one... Don't you see the option "Press Ctrl-B to enter Extended Boot menu" when switch is preparing to boot the Comware image?

    unfortunately no, i still solved it by setting user admin with high pivileges , setting an ip and logging into via browser, then i initialized
