1.  How to save the configuration on j259a  i.e HPE 1950 12xgt 4sfp+  series switch and backup that configuration file to new software can we do this if know then please I need steps to do that. 

2. can we upgrade the software to the stacked switches at once or we need to upgrade them one by one please need some clear steps to do the upgrade.

Are you trying to save from GUI or CLI?

From GUI, go to Device-->Configuration (like below snapshot) and save running config and if you want export the config.

You can do software upgrade for stack devices at a same time.

You can plan downtime for manual upgrade.
Set new software into flash of both devices and reboot.
Please go through release notes before upgrade.

I am trying to take the configurations from GUI.

I m choosing the CLI to update the software because the switches are in IRF fabric mode according to the release notes that is the best option but I didn't see how can we set the backup software in CLI mode. I referred to the latest release notes 5106P06.
