is it possible to edit the login banner on an HP switch the way you can with a cisco router .
To basically say "any unauthorised access etc etc"

mixture of 4000, 2625, 2650 A & B,4108g, 2824,2524 with various firmware versions. but mostly up to date.

I believe it is only the 5300, 5400/3500, 6200 and 4200 that currently support this.

Hi, The 5300 series supports it with the

Switch(Config)# banner motd

command. As does the HP9300 series.

As Matt said, none of the switches you have currently support this, Is something that would be handy though, I have never thought about it, I always use a custom banner when configuring Cisco routers but have always gone without on procurve devices....
