  • 1.  MAC Address table limit

    We have a variety of Procurve switches on our network that has grown over the years and I am wondering if I am hitting critical mass.  Where can I find what the MAC address table limit is for a paticular lan segment on any of the Procurve switches?

    Hi

    AFAIK there isn't a limit / segment, but a total limit. This you can find in the product page at HPN site, check under "Models". For example 5400 limit is 64000 entries.

    Why exactly do you think you're hitting a limit? What kind of issues are you experiencing? Which switches, what SW versions?
