  • 1.  One 6100 switch just won't sync with Central

Hi. I have a setup with 40 Aruba CX6100 switches that are managed from central (UI mode), and they are all completely identically configured apart from individual port configs.

I often use the multieditor to make identical changes to all of them. They are all on the same Firmware baseline (10.13.1120), and everything works - except:

One Switch never accepts configuration from central. whenever I make changes to that switch it just goes out of sync and stays there. Autocommit is on, I have tried re-sync, manual sync and every other possible solution. It just NEVER takes config from central. It's connected fine, it sends in telemetry just fine, and so on. But no config from central ever gets there.

Nothing is written in the switch logs, and the switch reports connected to central in the CLI. I have tried rebooting it multiple times.

It seems there is some queue in central for config changes to this switch that is just permanently stalled.

Any Idea how to jumpstart it? Right now I have to CLI to the switch and enter Aruba-central Support-mode to apply new config, write the memory and disable support-mode again. Central then picks up those changes a good while later by importing the config as expected when done in support-mode.

Yes and no, there is just the standard message with the intended changes it want to do, but never a "pushed successfully" afterwards (tried waiting more than 24hours).
It I disable autocommit and click sync manually the same happens, but if I click sync more than one time, a "Syncronisation failed" audit is logged.

I had one switch acting like that and what I did was that in old Central I moved switch to default group (Preserve switch configuration) waited couple of minutes and move it back to original group (again Preserving existing switch configuration) and it started to work.

That does indeed seem to solve the problem :-) Thank you.
