I need to activate udp helper or broadccast forwarding to be able to let WOL broadcast packets passing through my 4400, 4500 and 5500 switchs between VLANs.

What should I do to do that ?

If I activate udp helper, should I specify the port (1761) ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi bgabor,

On 4400-4500 switch (L2 switch) WOL broadcast packets are forwarded without the need to configure anything.

On 5500 switch (L3 switch) you can use the command "ip forward-broadcast" in system-view mode or you can use the command in interface view mode to enable forward broadcasting on some VLAN.

If you need more information, just ask for it.

Be aware by using the ip forward-broadcast command that you are forwarding all broadcast across vlans. you should use udp-helper port 1761 to do that.
