Updating Secondary flash with Primary Flash ***Different K Code version***

    From the below information, if the Secondary Image is running an older version of the K code can I just copy the primary to the secondary without any issues if the Boot Rom Version is at K.12.22?

     

    Current Primary/Secondary Images:

    5406zl Core-1# sh version

    Image stamp:    /sw/code/build/btm(K_t4a)

    Boot Image:     Primary

    I usually copy the current flash to secondary before doing an upgrade - there is always a fallback position if something doesn't work then. Since the switch is already running 14, there will be no problem copying primary over the secondary, and then installing the new K15 in the primary.

     

    copy flash flash secondary

     

    [You should normally check the release notes for the older firmware upgrade path. You may have to go through K 13 from L12 to K14.]
