I need to make a comparison of two features for the models of switches listed below.

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation, how many trunks are supported, how many ports are allowed by speed by trunk.
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
Virtual VLAN interfaces, how many Virtual VLAN interfaces are possible of configuration.

At datasheet of the products, these are the existing information, but I would confirm them as they are not complete for all switches or even wrong in my view.

    # 3Com Baseline Plus Switch 2928
    3CRBSG2893

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation, automated (LACP) and manual aggregation: number of ports/2 trunks, 8 ports per trunk, max. How many trunks are supported? How many ports are allowed by speed by trunk? Max of 8x 10/100/1000?
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    Virtual VLAN interface: 8

    # 3Com Switch 4200G 24-Port
    3CR17661-91

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP); automated and manual aggregation
    6 trunk groups per switch
8 10/100 ports or 2 Gigabit ports per group
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    8 IP interfaces

    # Switch 4210G 24-Port
    3CRS42G-24-91

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP); automated and manual aggregation
    6 trunk groups per switch
8 10/100/1000 ports or 2 Gigabit ports per group This is correct /1000?
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    8 IP interfaces

    #  3Com Switch 4510G 24-Port
    3CRS45G-24-91

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP); automated and manual aggregation
12 trunk groups per switch How many ports are allowed by speed by trunk?
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    64 virtual IP interfaces

    # 3Com Switch 4800G 24-Port
    3CRS48G-24-91

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
iEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP); manual and static modes
    Link aggregation:
    • 24-port models: 14 groups
    • 8 10/100/1000 ports or 4 10-Gigabit ports per group
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    1,024 virtual iP interfaces

    # 3Com Switch 5500G-EI 24-Port
    3CR17250-91

    > LAYER 2 SWITCHING
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP); automated and manual aggregation
Link aggregation trunk groups, per switch:
    • 32 groups
    • 8 10/100/1000 ports or 4 10-Gigabit ports per group
    > LAYER 3 SWITCHING
    128 IP interfaces
