    This query is regarding the process of copying a configuration command that involves an encrypted password (for user access) from one switch to another.

    It is typical or expected for the new switch to accept the encrypted password and allow access without reconfiguring the password manually, as the encrypted password was copied directly from the original switch.?

    When you copy a configuration, the encrypteed password will not automacially be recognized. You have to make sure both switches are using the same encryption key or hashing mechanism. So in this case, if i am not mistaken, the hashed password is specific to the original switch, so when copied from one switch to the other, the new switch will not be able to decrypt and validate it, unless the method of generating that encryption was the same.
