    Forgot to mention: HP Procurve 2650.

    Works after reboot. I guess someone changed max-vlans but forgot to reload device.

    I have had this error on other models as well, and it is not due to a max vlans value. You will also see that you have a persistent bug in the menu system, if you try and add a vlan there you will get error message similar to "can only untag one vlan per port" - which also is bogous.

    HP has had this bug for ages.
