Hello everyone,
for the past few months, a really strange issue has been occurring in our environment.
On several of our fiber switches (HPE FlexFabric 5940 48SFP+ 6QSFP28 JH390A), transceivers are suddenly no longer being recognized.
%Apr 28 08:50:34:009 2026 Core-GF OPTMOD/4/MODULE_IN: -Slot=4; Ten-GigabitEthernet4/0/10: The transceiver is UNKNOWN_SFP_PLUS.
It makes no difference whether the transceiver is an original or a compatible one.
A different transceiver may have worked perfectly on the same port just 5 minutes earlier.
However, as soon as a transceiver is inserted (even the same one as before), we receive this error message.
