ok, so here i am with my new, out of the box 5406zl, latest firmware installed.

impossible to do the following

ip route 10.251.0.0/16 192.168.1.1
ip route 10.251.0.0/16 10.10.10.138 200

so what gives? how can i attribute a administrative cost to a route?

I'm sure you have figured it out already, but I'll provide an answer for the record if someone else runs into the same problem;

The problem in mentioned command is that you left out the distance parameter.

5406zl(config)# ip route 10.251.0.0/16 10.10.10.138 DISTANCE 200
